Eye Anatomy 101

The following video is a good introduction to ocular anatomy.  Nevertheless, keep in mind the following errors: anatomically, the fovea and optic disc are aligned horizontally, not vertically.  Therefore, the “slice” through the eye at the beginning of the video should be horizontal and not vertical, and the POV from above instead of from the side.  Given these errors, the muscle at the top of the drawing should be labeled the lateral rectus and the muscle at the bottom of the drawing should be labeled the medial rectus.
